iSurv1vor Heroes vs. Villains is in full throttle!
The Heroes tribe is off to an excellent start. We immediately had the first immunity challenge posted. We have to create a really cool tribe flag that will be chosen over the villains flag by a group of judges. All 11 of us have to participate. Because I have photoshop, I told the tribe I could do the final editing, so I did step up big time. Erik has also been very active in leading the tribe. I am very confident that our idea will be well-liked, and those judges better be impressed by our effort to get each person's picture and put this this thing together in the short amount of time! We selected a set of words that represent heroic "traits," and we even added in a Donna reference for some fun. And Tom is holding the Donna sign... you can't get much more perfect than that! If we do happen to lose, it will really suck because I don't dislike anyone on the tribe. Since I've helped a lot in the challenge, I doubt a lot of people would want to vote me off first. Plus, I've been having really nice conversations with people, and I see to get along with everyone well!
I have a few alliance possibilities floating around. There's been a couple offers involving Erin and myself, which is really good news. First, Allan has already approached Erin and me about sticking together with him and Ashley. He made some good points. We are both duos who know the other person in real life, so that could appear threatening to others on the tribe, especially when everyone is searching for any possible reason to make someone a target. This tribe is full of very active, cool, nice, intellegent people... so there will be no easy votes until we start picking off the villains. =P I have a semi-solid feeling about Allan in terms of how trustworthy he is, BUT, I don't believe he'd actually be willing to axe Ashley later on, like he claimed. I'm still thinking about this possibility, but overall, keeping them around for a while would be a smart move numbers-wise.
Next, Tom and Morgan, who are very close, have also had talk with me and Erin about sticking together as a 4, and possibly pulling in another person or two. I really like this idea, even more than the Allan/Ashley deal because I trust Tom AND Morgan completely! Morgan is extremely loyal, and Erin/Tom have history in a couple past games where they've worked together well. This 4 seems like a perfect opportunity to do some damage in the long run. Right now, I'm leaning towards fully committing to this option, but we all have to be careful not to make it obvious to the rest of the tribe. The first alliance that is made public could potentially turn into an early target, so keeping this on the downlow is absolutely vital!
The other 2 guys I've talked to the most on the tribe are Tucker and Erik. Tucker has talked to me quite a bit, and I like him, but he seems like trouble. For some reason, I just feel like I can't trust him. He seems slightly condescening sometimes, and I don't think our personalities click as well and people like me/Erin/Tom/Morgan. I don't know if I'd target Tucker to be the first boot or anything like that, but I'm staying cautious around him. I don't want to say something I'll regret that he may spread to other people. Erik, on the other hand, is absolutely a perfect match for me. We both have tons of positive energy. Erik is really funny. I dunno... he's just really pleasant to talk to. I feel like I can trust him a lot in this game, and Erin also got along with him really well. In addition, it's obvious that he's not afraid to step up into a leadership role, and that can help me stay behind the scenes a little bit, especially after this challenge when my photoshop skills aren't being heavily relied on. =\ I look forward to getting to know Erik more, and I see a lot of potential for us to make it far.
That leaves Clayton, Jordan, and Jamie. I've spoken with each other them a little bit. Clayton works at Olive Garden too... it's so crazy! Jordan got his college degree in Meteorology, just like me. So many connections. I like all 3 here, but still look forward to chatting with them more!
Ashley is the one person I haven't actually caught on AIM yet. She's been brought into alliance-talk with Allan, but I do want to see what kind of vibe I get from here.
Overall, I am crossing my fingers that we win this challenge and dodge this first tribal council. No one wants the shame of being the first boot. I feel like I should be safe if we have to vote, but I'd still feel way more comfortable not dealing with that at all. Hopefully we can finish up this flag between now and tomorrow afternoon so we aren't scrambling at the last second. I'll be bummed if the judges don't like our flag, but I'm staying optimistic!
