Starting with the background, we chose purple to be our tribe color because of its historic meaning. For centuries, purple has been the color of royalty. It's also the color of good judgment. It's the color of people seeking spiritual fulfillment. It is said that if you surround yourself with purple, you will have peace of mind. We felt that all of these had heroic connotations. Plus we have a British dude on the tribe, so if we didn't use the color, sorry "colour", of royalty, he would have imposed a tax on sugar.
If you look carefully at the background, you will see that all of the past iSurv1vor seasons are written on the background in the "Survivor" font. We wanted to respect the amazing history of this series, and remind ourselves that as the iSurv1vor Heroes we're not only playing for ourselves, but for all of the cast members and hosts of the past 14 seasons....even the villains.
The torches, staying true to traditional Survivor fashion, represent life in this game. The "Heroes" logo is recycled from the TV show Heroes, which besides looking really cool was also the first real joke and bonding experience our tribe had together ...the photoshopped picture that Erik made with all of our heads on the cast of Heroes...and stick figure Clayton.
And then we get to the pictures. We wanted everyone on the tribe to contribute to the flag equally, so everyone took pictures of themselves and included a word that they felt typified a Hero...
Erik chose "Sex Appeal" because well, cmon, let's be honest...look at this tribe! Heroes are typically easy on the eyes, and this game is no exception. The villains don't even come close to the raw sexuality of the Heroes tribe.
Tucker chose "Courage" to portray that a Hero requires this ability to go above and beyond the call of duty, be it to help a team mate, to sacrifice their needs above others and stand accountable for their actions.
"Integrity" is one of the hallmark qualities of a Hero. Jordan chose this word to represent a Hero's commitment to sincerity, even in the face of a game as cutthroat as Survivor.
Stephen chose "Valor" because it represents the boldness, raw determination and gallant attitude that the Heroes possess against worthy competitors.
Clayton chose "loyalty", because a true Hero is devoted & stays faithful to their word & allegiances. Loyalty is a quality all true heroes have.

I've reworded the description, if you guys are happy with the other version that's cool THE HEROES For our tribe, we chose Purple to represent what the Heroes embody, as purple is the color of good judgement and spiritual fulfillment. Detailed into the background of the flag are the fourteen locations of iSurv1vor, each one a unique experience for a group of castaways from the smallest game at thirteen, to the largest at twenty-seven. Since this game is at an historic number, it is only fitting that the previous seasons be recognised and acknowledged just as much as the Heroes and Villains of the past who made their season unique. The two torches, staying true to traditional Survivor fashion, represent life in this game as well as marking the second All-Star season. The "Heroes" logo we adapted from the NBC Show but the idea originally came from the custom banner that was posted in Kings Island jokingly referencing the core group in that show to this one. This was also the first real bonding experience for us as a team, and has became a recurring joke ever since. Each member of the tribe took what they believed to be key components of a Hero and contributed this to the flag along with their reason below; Erik chose "Sex Appeal" because well, cmon, let's be honest...look at this tribe! I put my "Donna" description at the end and preceded it with "finally," since I assume it'd make the most sense to put that one last. I guess everyone else can file in behind me. PS: love both the seriousness and the sense of humor in this write-up. You guys rawk! ------------------- THE HEROES For our tribe, we chose Purple to represent what the Heroes embody, as purple is the color of good judgement and spiritual fulfillment. (Grand)motherly kindness. And all of the aforementioned characteristics listed above. This flag is a reflection of the most heroic person to ever play iSurv1vor: the one, the only, the ageless...Donna.

Oh, and just looking over the instructions, we can't forget to include what everyone did to participate (Tucker's background, Stephen's inclusions, each of us placing our pictures into the boxes, etc.). We should definitely emphasize that this was a true TEAM effort with all the personalized pictures. I don't know what the Villains did, but I assume it's something lame like one person crafting a "V" into the flag, another an "I," another an "L," etc.

Ashley chose "Honour" because that is what we will be doing this season. We will be honouring past alumni for the amazing games they played and the hosts for having such creativity. How, you ask? Through our game play and the hints we got from the best of the best and kicking butt in the amazing challenges created for us. Without you guys we wouldn't be here right now. We salute you all! Hey yall... The write-up looks fantastic! I believe we have until 10 Eastern to submit our final draft. I will be back about an hour before the deadline to finish up last minute stuff with the flag. If anyone else can be here to finish up the write-up (in case some people don't get a chance to write a line) that would be awesome! Also, I know Morgan said she was trying to borrow a camera. In case it didn't work out, Morgan, we made a fake one that looks pretty legit... so I'm going to post it here just in case, and if you can, please add it (or the actual picture you took) to the flag. =] Thanks!!!

I'm gonna be at work a little later than thought tonight. I was wondering if someone could copy and paste my write up to the list. My phone will not let me copy it all... Thanks a ton! Feel free to correct any grammar errors also!
Erin decided on "friendship.". Friendship adds a little spice to our lives. Friendship is based off of trust, faith, and concern for each other. As bitter as this game may be, everyone makes a friend. That friend is your harbor during this crazy game. A hero is always there for their friends.

I'm really sorry for being this late guys! I was out today shopping and doing some things for my wedding, but I'm here now. I had a friend help me out with resizing since I didn't see Stephen or Erik around the board and my AIM isn't opening for some odd reason. Either way, here is the final product of all of our efforts. It's amazing!!! Sorry about my face, I was trying to be funny since most of you were doing funny faces but my kissy face didn't look too well in pictures.
